Climate data ‘not well organized’

By Roger Harrabin Environment analyst, BBC News Phil Jones, the professor behind the “Climategate” affair, has admitted some of his decades-old weather data was not well enough organised. He said this contributed to his refusal to share raw data with critics – a decision he says he regretted. But Professor Jones said he had not cheated over the data, or unfairly influenced the scientific process. He said he stood by the view that recent climate warming was most likely predominantly man-made. But he agreed that two periods in recent times had experienced similar warming. And he agreed that the debate had not been settled over whether the Medieval Warm Period was warmer than the current period. These statements are… Read More

Al Gore, The United Nations, and the Cult of GAIA (1999)

By Cliff Kincaid, President, America’s Survival, Inc. www.USAsurvival.org   Executive Summary   U.S. taxpayers are being forced to subsidize a new form of state religion which holds that natural resources have to be protected for the sake of Gaia, a so-called Earth spirit.  This religious movement, which has cult-like qualities, is being promoted by leading figures and organizations such as Vice President Albert Gore, broadcaster Ted Turner, and the United Nations.   Gore, who as a member of the U.S. Senate participated in the 1992 U.N.-sponsored Earth Summit, is the most prominent member of what appears to be an environmental cult built around the concept of reverence for the Earth.  Gore has written openly about the Earth having sacred… Read More

2006: A disaster to take everyone’s breath away

12:00AM Monday July 24, 2006 By Geoffrey Lean MANAUS – Deep in the heart of the world’s greatest rainforest, a nine-day journey by boat from the sea, Otavio Luz Castello is anxiously watching the soft waters of the Amazon drain away. Every day they recede further, like water running slowly out of an immense bathtub, threatening a worldwide catastrophe. Standing on an island in a quiet channel of the giant river, he points out what is happening. A month ago, the island was under water. Now, it juts 5m above it. It is a sign that severe drought is returning to the Amazon for a second successive year. And that would be ominous. New research suggests that one further dry year… Read More

Anti-Global Warming Scientists Can’t Be Wrong

Nature Magazine, the academic journal that introduced the world to X-rays, DNA double helix, wave nature of particles, pulsars, and more recently the human genome, is set to publish a paper in June that shows atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) is responsible for only 5-10% of observed warming on Earth. As explained by the paper’s author Professor Jyrki Kauppinen, “The climate is warming, yes, but not because of greenhouse gases. For the preeminent scientific journal in the world to publish Kauppinen’s work shows conclusively that Al Gore‘s much touted “scientific consensus supporting human-caused global warming is a myth. Eco-censors and the global warming hoax For years scientists have been trying to get out the message past the eco-censors that there… Read More

A Global Extinction Event

Expert Warns of Earthquake in New Madrid Zone

It won’t take a catastrophic earthquake to do catastrophic damage Gary Patterson, USGS June 18, 2006 AP Kansas City BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. – An earthquake expert with the U.S. Geological Survey says many residents and officials in northeast Arkansas are setting themselves and their neighbors up for a worse disaster by underestimating the results of a quake in the region. “This is a different kind of earthquake,” said Gary Patterson of the United States Geological Survey Center for Earthquake Research and Information at the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tenn. “This is not a California earthquake,” Patterson said last week at a meeting of the Arkansas Gov.’s Earthquake Advisory Council. “There are some basic differences here that drive the hazard… Read More
